In Hollywood, you're nobody unless you've got a tan!! As someone once said,
"The more desperate you are for fame, the darker your tan should be."
While some people can pull it off, and some look much healthier with a fake tan, the majority of people who "fake and bake" end up looking like complete shit!!
The sad thing is that these celebrities are role models to the youth in our society and when young girls/guys see their favourite star glowing like an Oompa Loompa, they figure they should too.
All of a sudden you see 9 out of 10 people walking around as if they just sat in front of the sun for a year to turn their skin all leathery... It's gross people!! How can you think BEING ORANGE looks hot??
The photos above should be enough of a warning to NOT try and look like your favourite star; If it doesn't work for Lindsay Lohan, Valentino or Christina Aguilera, why would it work for you?!
I'm not saying tanning is bad, I'm just saying you don't need to go tanning everyday - Once every few weeks is fine, but the second you start looking like an orange creamsicle, you should seriously STOP!!
And hey, if looking like a fool doesn't stop you from fake tanning, maybe these side effects will: Skin Cancer, Hepatitis and Canthaxanthin Retinopathy (a condition in which yellow deposits form in the retina of the eye). As well, a new analysis confirming tanning beds are a leading cause of CANCER was recently released by the World Health Organization.
