Aerosmith's Joe Perry thinks the band could be dunzo once their current tour ends next month due to Steven Tyler joining American Idol!!

"Steven told me just a couple of days ago he signed his papers to join the show. As far as he knew, everything's set to go. If Steven is committed to a TV show, that kind of affects the rest of us. We'd like to plan our lives, ya know?! I think everybody's a little worn out. The tour is winding up, and we don't know when we'll work together again as band. That part of it is up in the air, and it's starting to hit home."

Between the American Idol drama, and Joe throwing Steven off-stage recently, I think Aerosmith might totally be done... until they do another reunion in ten years!!

AKON IS GETTIN' SUED FOR PULLING OUT... OF A CONCERT!!

 

According to legal documents filed today, club promoter Lofraco Belgium is suing Akon for flaking just eight days before his scheduled performance in Belgium last year!!

The promoter claims that the show was supposed to feature two performers on Akon's label, but nobody ever showed - Lofraco is suing for breach of contract, fraud and concealment; He's asking for his $250,000 in expenses back, plus a couple million dollars in others damages.

Commitment issues?!

MADONNA OFFERED SOME BIG MONEY TO PERFORM IN LAS VEGAS?!

 

Rumours are going around that Madonna was offered a ONE BILLION DOLLARS contract to perform in Las Vegas for five years!!

Celine Dion recently signed a new three-year deal with Caesars Palace worth $100 million - However, a couple years ago when Madonna was asked about taking her act to Vegas, she replied:

"That's insane. I hate Las Vegas. I couldn't bear it for five minutes."

I doubt she was offered THAT MUCH money... But either way, I think Vegas would be a great career move for her!!

The Blink 182 drummer announced yesterday that his new CD will include collaborations with Eminem, Lil Wayne, Drake, T.I., Pharrell Williams, Snoop Dogg, Lupe Fiasco, and Rick Ross - The new album will be in stores come this October.

In a recent interview, Bono announced that U2 is working on a "club-sounding" album!!

He didn't elaborate much, but said that the band is working on recording some new tracks and hopes to release a new album before they go on yet another tour.

Maybe a duet with Lady Gaga is in the works?!

The two boy-bands have signed a deal with Live Nation Entertainment for a massive joint tour in 2011...

"The idea is to recreate the boy band phenomenon... It will be the ultimate ladies' night out."

And to make things even more interesting, reps. from both camps have already begun talking about recording a single together prior to the tour.

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry showed-off his hip-checking skillz last night in Toronto when he sent Steven Tyler into the crowd during their concert!!

It all went down during a performance of Love in an Elevator - First Steven playfully bumped Joe, and then Joe retaliated by bumping Tyler right back... into the crowd.

I think it may be safer for Steven to just stick to judging on American Idol!!

Well, this is a little weird...

Despite having a HUGE hit song together, Airplanes, Paramore's Hayley Williams and rapper B.o.B. have NEVER met in person; They recorded the song separately & filmed the music video separately too!!

B.o.B had this to say about the situation,

"You know I've always wanted to work with Hayley. I've still never met her yet, which is ironic and funny at the same time because this is, like, one of the most popular songs, but we've still never met."

Meanwhile, Hayley joked that they've only communicated with each other on Twitter...

"We'll never meet. We're going to perform the song live via Skype."

Ke$ha might be known as a popular party girl now, but back in high school, she was more of a band / theatre geek!!

Before breaking-out into the music scene, the singer was studying a degree in comparative religion and was part of her school's marching band / musicial theatre group...

"Marching band kids are crazy... They throw down! I played the trumpet first, but then she switched over to saxophone. It was on the cheesy side, but I played it like it was going out of style. SUM 41 HAVE DECIDED TO CANCEL THEIR SUMMER TOUR!!

Last week, Sum 41's Deryck Whibley was attacked at a bar by three men in Japan and later hospitalized... Well, now Sum 41 has to cancel their tour!!

The group has decided to cancel their remaining dates and released this statement today:

"Knowing that they are unable to deliver their signature high energy show, Sum 41 made the tough decision that a break is needed while Deryck begins rehabilitation for the slipped disc."

Maybe Avril Lavigne can help heal him?! Get better soon!!

DEMI LOVATO WANTS TO RELEASE A MORE URBAN ALBUM!!

 

Demi Lovato is currently writing & recording new tracks for her next album, and is looking to change things up a bit!!

The Disney star says,

"I'm now just taking that next step and learning how to make my music more radio-friendly but also stay very artistic, and for me that's R&B. I can put my vocal stylings on songs that are R&B and it showcases my vocals more than just singing really loud on a rock song. It's really nice to embrace it. I grew up singing R&B and then I grew up listening to rock, so it was kind of weird. But I'm kind of learning how to incorporate the two and I'm having a good time with it."

She also adds that she would love to (obviously) record a couple songs with Drake and Trey Songz rather than The Jonas Brothers!!

MARK SALLING IS SET TO RELEASE A RECORD OF HIS OWN!!

 

Mark Salling announced yesterday that he's releasing his debut album in October!!

The album, titled Pipe Dreams, will be released on Salling's own label, Pipe Dream Records - The Glee star is planning to write, perform and produce every song on the record.

I feel like all the Glee stars will soon have albums of their own!!

LADY GAGA AND JUSTIN TRANTER KISS WHILE CROWD SURFING!!

Lady Gaga took over Lollapalooza in Chicago's Grant Park last night!!

During her set with The Semi Precious Weapons, the band's frontman Justin Tranter got the singer to take a stage-dive with him and go crowd surfing - The two jumped into the crowd where they locked lips while hundreds of fans grabbed at their half naked bodies.

Looks like a BLAST eh?!

SUM 41'S DERYCK WHIBLEY HAS BEEN HOSPITALIZED!!

 

Sum 41's frontman Deryck Whibley has been hospitalized after being attacked by three unknown suspects in a Japanese bar!!

The band wrote a status update on their Twitter saying:

"Deryck Whibley was attacked in a bar last night by 3 unknown people. He is in the hospital now. Japanese police are looking into the matter."

Later, they updated their status adding:

"It is unfortunate to say, but Deryck Whibley is still in the hospital. He was attacked late last night in Japan. We are waiting for results and we are hoping for the best. Thanks for your support."

Rumours have been going around that The Beach Boys are planning on suing Katy Perry over her widely successful song California Gurls, however, the rumours are NOT true!!

Mike Love of The Beach Boys released this statement to clear up the whole mess:

"The Beach Boys are definitely not suing Katy Perry. In fact, we are flattered that her fantastically successful song is bringing to mind to millions of people our 1965 recording of the Beach Boys' 'California Girls.' We think her song is great and wish her all the success in the world."

Family Guy creator, Seth MacFarlane, has just signed a record deal with Universal Republic!!

His debut album will be a collection of big band musical numbers from the 1940's and '50's,...

"It’s rare in this day and age to have the opportunity to create an album that celebrates the classic, sophisticated sound of rich, lush swing orchestrations. It will be an absolute joy to sing this music, and I look forward to working with the entire team at Universal Republic on what we intend to make an exceptional project."

The Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am, who collaborated with Michael Jackson before his death, is speaking-out against plans to release the singer's unfinished music!!

"He wouldn't have wanted it that way...Freaking parasites! I don't think that should ever come out. How you gonna release Michael Jackson when Michael Jackson ain't here to bless it? That's bad. How much can you suck from [Michael's] energy? What's wrong with what he already contributed to the world?"

I can see where he is coming from, but I am VERY excited to hear the new music!!

Ever wonder what happened to your bra when you threw it on stage at that musician you had the hots for?! Well, if you ever threw a bra at Drake, it just might be sitting in his "bra trunk"!!

In a recent interview, the Canadian rapper says he has about 500 bras in this special trunk which he carries around with him on the road....

"Pretty much every bra I've ever received I put into my bra trunk. I carry this special trunk on the road with me. I also have a bra stand. I take the bras from the women with the biggest chests and hang them on my microphone stand. I put the biggest breasts' bras on my mic stand. I try and showcase the fact that, you know, women with a full chest, it's nothing to be ashamed of. You shouldn't go get them reduced. They're beautiful, you know, breasts are a beautiful thing."

DEADMAU5 HOSPITALIZED AFTER COLLAPSING ON-STAGE!!

 

Last night, while performing on-stage at The 9:30 Club in Washington D.C., Deadmau5 collapsed!!

According to reports, Joel Zimmerman (his real name) was suffering from exhaustion and kept vomiting before he fell to the ground at the club - Medics at the venue took him directly to hospital where he is now under supervision and all his remaining tour dates have been cancelled.
