Former American Idol contestant, Ian Benardo, who sued the show a few months ago for $300 million, has withdrawn that lawsuit and refiled a new one for $100 million!!
Ian claims that Idol producers exploited his sexual orientation and told him to "gay it up." - As for why he dropped his astronomical demand from $300 million to $100 million, his rep. says it was a "cleaner amount."
This guy should talk dollars & cents with Dr. Evil!!
American Idol's Chikezie Eze, who was charged a couple months ago with felony identity theft, has finally been sentenced for his actions!!
Chikezie was arrested after using somebody else's stolen credit card to buy two bottles of cologne at Neiman Marcus for $1,289.57 - A judge today placed Chikezie on three years probation and told him he will have to perform 45 days of community service.
I guess that singing career will have to be put on-hold?!
American Idol's Fantasia Barrino tried to kill herself the other night!!
According to police reports, the Idol champ attempted to commit suicide by ingesting pills - Thankfully police arrived at the scene in time and transported her to a local hospital.
A rep. for the singer says she ingested the medication after feeling "overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention" surrounding her relationship with her on-again-off-again boyfriend Antwaun Cook, who happens to be married.
Hopefully she gets better and gets the proper help soon!!
Apparently Steven Tyler's plans to join American Idol as a judge this upcoming season has pissed off his Aerosmith bandmates!!
Guitarist Joe Perry had this comment about the news today,
"I found out on the internet like the rest of the world… I mean, this is no small thing. I mean, after working with me for 40 years, he couldn't tell me about this… Why so secretive? We're told it's a done deal. If Steven is committed to a TV show, that kind of affects the rest of us. We'd like to plan our lives, ya know?"

If The Bachelor is looking to go a whole new direction with their upcoming season, they may want to consider American Idol's Casey James!!
After a suggestion was made by Chris Harrison that former Idol contestant would be a great contestant for the future, the singer said,
"'l will try anything once. I'm always up for a new experience."
Traditionally, The Bachelor brings back people that we have seen on the show in the past, and right now Chris Lambton from Ali Fedotowsky's just-ended season is the favourite.
I guess only time will tell who will get to slut it up with all da ladies!!
Ellen DeGeneres announced yesterday that she was leaving the show, and now Kara DioGuardi has just been fired from American Idol!!
It's being reported that the show will be going back to a three-judge format and assuming all deals are finalized, the judge's panel will consist of Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.
Interesting... I think they should include Jessica Simpson also just for laughs!!
Ellen DeGeneres is leaving American Idol!!
The talk show host, who became a full-time judge just last year, says she is bowing out of the series...
“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for.”

Rumours are going around that Jessica Simpson is in negotiations to become the next judge on American Idol, and that the show is thinking about firing Kara Dioguardi - There is still no word yet on who will replace Simon Cowell.
I actually think Jessica would be fun to watch, and listening to her reviews would be hilarious!!

"I can't say this is true yet, cause I don't know. Next year they asked me to possibly be the judge on American Idol."

It's only been a few days since Crystal Bowersox got dumped by her boyfriend and Lee DeWyze beat her / won the American Idol finale, but both have just landed record deals!!
Lee is now signed to 19 Recordings & RCA Records, while Crystal is with 19 Recordings & Jive Records - The two hope to have their albums out this November.
Can't wait to hear them!!

Earlier today Crystal revealed,
“[My boyfriend] Tony, he went home. He wasn’t cool with the lifestyle. We’re both logical, grown adults... He’s a small town guy and it’s fine. But I’m a small town girl but I want this. Season 9 of American Idol came to a close earlier tonight, and after a heartfelt goodbye to Simon Cowell, Lee DeWyze beat out Crystal Bowersox to be crowned the new champ!!

Last night on American Idol, Simon was VERY confused over Michael Lynche's song choice of, Will You Be There, from the movie, Free Willy - Simon listened to Mike sing the song and then said,
"What is a Free Willy?! What's the film about? I'm confused because I can't connect a whale called Willy and what you just did. If [the song] is not about a whale, what's it about? A willy? I'm more confused here... You could have chosen thousands of songs."
We all know what movie Simon is renting this upcoming weekend!!

American Idol front-runner Crystal Bowersox is finally speaking-out about the reports that she was thinkin' about of leaving the show!!
In a text message to a friend, Crystal said she'd been "betrayed by Seacrest" and had never been seriously ready to quit - On her Twitter page yesterday she wrote:
"No apologies for being human... Life is always testing one's strength and weakness threshold. That's how we learn how strong we really are."
A friend of Crystal's told a radio station today,
"She had a moment backstage and Ryan made it into something it wasn't. She never expected he would tell the world about it. She's still in the game."
I guess Ryan was just trying to make himself look like the big hero... Or maybe get some attention for the show?!
Ryan Seacrest had this to say to Adam Lambert last night on American Idol:
"My tongue isn't nearly as talented as yours."
