ZACKTAYLOR.CA EXCLUSIVE: THE PROBLEMS BETWEEN SELENA GOMEZ AND DEMI LOVATO...

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have been friends for a while, but recently everyone has been talking about how the two don't really seem like "bff's" anymore!!

The former bestfriends fueled rumours of their friendship fading when they had an awkward moment at The 2009 American Music Awards in Los Angeles, California the other night; It seemed as if they really didn't want to be photographed together!!

In the past, both Demi and Selena have admitted to fighting with each other, however, they worked things out quickly...

"Sometimes, especially with me and Demi, we get caught up when we're doing different things. We need to make sure we have time for each other and really appreciate our friendship. We don't like to stay mad at each other. Thank goodness me and Demi have the relationship we do. We'll sit down and talk to each other and say 'Look I'm feeling this way so let's fix it because I love you.' Sometimes we need to be reminded that we need each other."

So what went wrong this time?? Some theories people have been throwing around:

Did a boy come between them?? Was Demi jealous of Selena?? Did their families get into a fight?? Did Selena kick Demi's dog??

Well, ZackTaylor.ca is here to give you the exclusive on this whole "situation" - I spoke with a couple people that are friends with both and got the following information...

Both Selena and Demi have been drifting apart over the last few months for numerous reasons; Selena secretly doesn't like Angelina 2.0 Chloe Bridges (the girl Demi has started becoming REALLY close with & who plays her former fling, Nick Jonas' love interest in the new Camp Rock 2), and normal teenage jealously between the two stars has also played a part.

The "drifting" started while Demi was filming Camp Rock 2 in Toronto, where she became good friends with Chloe. According to our source, Demi had a small phone argument with Selena when supposedly she "called-out" Demi on trying to "be in the scene" and "forgetting who her true friends were"... Long-story-short, Selena told Demi not to trust Chloe for unknown reasons (I'm guessing Selena heard some sort of rumour or something about Chloe and told Demi) and Demi got upset.

Anyways, they worked things out a few days later, but obviously things have not been the same since (as Demi is closer than ever with Chloe and not Selena) - Even though some sort of tension is still there, our ZackTaylor.ca source assures us,

"They are friends. Not best friends, but friends. They get along and fight as all friends do. Obviously some sort of jealously will always be there, but that is how everyone is in this industry. You learn who to trust and who you cannot. It's simple and part of growing up. Both are doing their own things, and creating their own paths. They are not little girls anymore!"

So there's the truth... Obviously fame changes people / friendships - It's kinda sad these two are not as close anymore, but I guess everything happens for a reason?!

Selena and Chloe definitely know each other, way back at the beginning of september she RT'd a selena tweet.

Although she hasn't hinted at anything in her twitter.

also Demi seems to really be into the scene crowd lately, so that makes sense.

and they don't seem like they hate each other, just seems like they aren't talking much.

and really it sounds like Selena was just trying to give her advice, and Demi thought she was just trying to control or didn't like that she doesn't like Chloe, who knows.
